The Great Lakes Business Intelligence & Big Data Summit planning committee is pleased to announce that the two keynotes at the 2016 Summit will be none other than Dr. Greg Wells and Wayne Eckerson.
On March 24, 2016, Dr. Greg Wells will kick off the Summit with a keynote discussing the latest advances in wearable technology and how data can be used to interpret current behaviors and physiological parameters. Advances in how researchers and companies are using data to identify associations between physiology and health will also be described. Finally, Dr. Wells will present the Apple Watch application that his laboratory is developing as an example of the future directions that are possible in the Wearable Technology and the Quantified Self Movement.
As a scientist, broadcaster, author, coach and athlete, Dr. Greg Wells has dedicated his career to understanding human performance and how the human body responds to extreme conditions. He is the author of Superbodies: Peak Performance Secrets from the World’s Best Athletes (HarperCollins, June 26, 2012), which explores how genetics and DNA, the brain, muscles, lungs, heart and blood work together in extreme conditions.
