WIT announces Robotic Process Automation (RPA) partnership with UiPath

As of March 2019, WIT is now a certified reseller and implementation partner with UiPath.  As the leader in this space, UiPath’s enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platform has already automated millions of repetitive tasks for business and government organizations all over the world.  UiPath is leading the “Automation First” era – delivering free training and collaboration, and enabling its robots to learn new skills through AI and machine learning.

What is Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is the technology that allows trained developers to configure robots, or "Bots” to emulate and integrate the actions of a human interacting within digital systems to execute a business process. Robots utilize existing user interface(s) to capture data and manipulate applications just like humans do. They interpret, trigger responses and communicate with other systems in order to perform on a vast variety of repetitive tasks. Only substantially better: an RPA software robot never sleeps, makes zero mistakes and costs a lot less than a human employee.

What are some tasks that Bots can perform?

Enabling bots can free up time for an employee to engage in tasks that require critical thinking. Bots can perform a wide variety of repetitive tasks, including:

  • Copy & paste
  • Move files and folders
  • Extract and process structured and semi structured data
  • Read and scrape text from PDF’s, emails, documents, and forms
  • Read and write to databases
  • Scrape web data
  • Make calculations

What industries have the most valuable use cases using RPA?

Bots are best at repetitive tasks that require a high level of accuracy and a low level of critical thinking. While RPA technology could be applied to just about any industry, a few industries see the greatest return on investment, including:
